Svadhyay
Manifesto

Mastery is a quiet thing.
We built tools that respect that.

Svadhyay (स्वाध्याय) is the Sanskrit word for self-study. It's the quiet practice of returning to a text you've already read — and noticing what you've missed.

We don't believe in streak guilt. We don't care about badges. The point is the gap between what you think you know and what you actually know — and the small daily reps that close it.

So our app is monochrome. The interactions are minimal. Mastery shows up as the shape of a ring, not a number splashed across the screen. The tutor cites chapter and page when it speaks; it won't pretend to know what isn't in the book.

We made this for our younger selves — students who wished a textbook could answer a question, teachers who wished question-bank generation didn't take an evening. If that shape fits you, welcome.
